Love in Action - Update #4

Check out my latest update video about my time down here in Chapala, Mexico working with Deeper Water Ministries at the Love in Action children's home. I've got some big news. Prayer request are below.

Prayer Requests

• For a healthy transition for the kids, the organization, and myself as I will be returning to Indiana at the end of August
• For a really great caretaker to replace me and care for the boys well
• For more caretakers to care for the young girls and the teenage girls
• For God to provide really great staff to work in the school next year. Nearly all of the school staff from last year have changed positions or left the organization.
• For me to richly experience God back in Indiana
• For me to find a job(s) that I enjoy back in Indiana

Love in Action - Update #3

Check out my latest update video about my time down here in Chapala, Mexico working with Deeper Water Ministries. For those of you who would like to pray for me and for those who have committed to praying for me my prayer requests are written below.

New Prayer Requests

• For strength to love these boys and bear with them in their weaknesses
• That we would see small, but substantial growth and healing in the lives of these kids so that our hearts may be encouraged
• For a greater sense that God is close and greater feeling of his strength in my life
• That I would make time to rest and that this time would truly be restful

Continued Prayer Requests

• For these kids to really feel loved by God and by the staff
• For healthy team dynamics among the staff of LIA and the staff of Deeper Water Ministries
• For a unity among LIA staff in implementing more structure, discipline, and consequences for the kids
• For a good church community for me to get involved in and for a community of friends in Chapala
• That I would learn tremendously from this experience and be able to discern if I should pursue this kind of work long term

Love in Action - Update #2

Please watch my update video about my time down here in Chapala, Mexico working with Deeper Water Ministries. For those of you who would like to pray for me and for those who have committed to praying for me my prayer requests are written below. 

Prayer requests:

• That myself and the LIA staff would see these kids through God’s eyes; having tremendous love, grace, and patience towards them.

• For healing for the kids. That they would be transformed and healed from the abuses that they have suffered.

• For a unity among LIA staff in implementing more structure, discipline, and consequences for the kids.

• For a good church community for me to get involved in and for a community of friends in Chapala.

• That I would learn tremendously from this experience and be able to discern if I should pursue this kind of work long term.
